The series Couple: Face to Face, uses a bisection image of a King Trumpet mushroom. The two halves face each other creating a telepathic space of conversation. What was of foremost importance was to subtly arouse curiosity around their delicate detail of the fungi by reducing their form to a residue. Selected images from the initial print run were enlarged and deeply etched onto copper plates. Blind embossings were made from these plates, which in act leave a permanent trace of the mushroom in paper that hovers subliminally on the surface of the ground.
