Mollusc, Mucus, Member, Much attempt to act as symbols for the disconnected human psyche necessarily adopted though any kind of mutable existence. The actuality of the lived is fluid. It has temperament. It exists in flux, as it must with micro exchanges from the rock beneath and air above but also as macro as organisms interacting with each other in the vast liminal liquid. In her, these vertebrates float in a changeable tide, fixed at a moment in the absolute that surrounds. Arms, hands, and fingers of a dismembered body or the 'hermitation’ of a part of, stand in for the whole to investigate the individual psyche (in particular and most relevant to me is the psyche of those from small cities/towns of Southern Ontario) relative to the larger social body/fabric.
