Splendours of Versailles is a series of digital print works composed by scanning collages made from a Metropolitan Museum of Art Catalogue of Venetian paintings by the same name. I am interested in still life painting and drawing because of their representations of mortality, yet they still show a melancholic vitality of the human spirit. By re-stitching these representations of impermanence and further disturbing them with a skewed scan I show a view of immortality, death, and the eternal in the 21st century.
